Retrofit and modernization

Following the tight financial pressure experienced by many transport authorities, Vossloh offers different modernization concepts that are developed in close cooperation with our customers.

The refurbishment of existing vehicles extends the lifetime and enhances the riding comfort and thus the attractiveness and frequency of use. Performance can be boosted while energy consumption is reduced and maintenance costs are lowered.

The maintenance costs of the vehicles can be reduced considerably (retardation of the LCC) by modern traction and on-board power system supply. Also the energy consumption of the vehicles can be reduced significantly by implementing efficient traction technology and static converters.

Refurbishment and overhauls of existing rail and road vehicles with new propulsion technology, on-board power supply systems or other electrical equipment; from preparing technical bids and overhauling cables to handling complete projects.
